A Dream Comes True

How’s your week guys? Did you all carry out your activities well? This time I try keeping my promise to post the story at least twice in a month. I promise it will probably keep it just because I have a writing teacher that always encourage me to always practice my writing skills and try to be better in every post. Actually I was more interested in reading than writing. Thanks a bunch for Miss Tri and Miss Fika anyway. Last week I had told you about my close friend. Now, I will tell you about my memorable experience.
            The most memorable experience that I ever had is being a Ticketing Crew. It was memorable because Mass Communication was the actual major that I want to choose and work at TV Station were my goal when I was at second grade of senior high school; therefore, when I had an opportunity to become a ticketing crew on one of TV stations, I was very excited. I was very happy although I didn’t choose Mass Communication Department as my major; I still can have several knowledge about it. Many impressive things that I had while I work; such as, meet and greet artists that I admire a lot, they are: Om Indro “warkop”, Ka Ria Enes and Susan, Bondan Prakoso, Unyil, I admire them a lot since I was in kindergarten, Even foreign artist like Christian Bautista, Thailand’s singer which adored by many females and Rick Price, a singer who sings “Heaven Knows”, one of my favorite songs.  Not only a lot of happiness that I had when I was worked but also the sorrow; such as, when I was on duty, I found an audiences that stubborn and unruly so I had to do public relations style of diplomacy, so they were not mad and still be able to enjoy the show. Then, I ever had to work until 3 am and do had lectures at 8 am, sometimes I had do traverse Mampang to Halim Perdana Kusuma, my old house, in the early morning. Besides, I also had no time for my family and my close friends, and I often did the assignments in a hurry because I had to be standing by for briefing with my teammates. My typhoid was relapse and I had to resign of HIMA’s membership. Now I also have resigned from that job to be more focus in the lecture. I still  joy because  I realized in every decision that I took there must be some risks.

That’s the story about my experiences. Lastly, I thankful to almighty God for the opportunity, Trans TV's PR team for the trust that given to me and of course my family, my close friends for the supports they provide. A Lovely Girl

Assalamualaikum. All praise be to Allah, the lord of the universe who guides us back to the straight path. How are you guys? Around these eight months, I didn't post anything on this blog because I'm completely busy these days. I am not as productive as always in writing. Hopefully, twice a month I can post my story on this blog. My first story on this month is about one of my beloved friends.

I have a best classmate at Hamka University named Hikayatul Khairiyah. I usually call her Hika. I knew her since two years ago. She is a nice girl because she is a friendly, pretty, careful, smart and religious girl. She always takes a good care of many people, she is very lovable person. One thing that I am proud of her is she can be responsible with every decision she makes. Even sometimes she got bored and lazy with her activities. She can handle it for example, she often does the tasks from our teacher in last minutes, but she can do it well. Sometimes I call her "Ms. Perfect" because she often has a perfect fit although the time is impossible. She has a bad habit; she sometimes comes late in each event even to the lectures. Maybe it caused by her habit. We have a similar hobby. We love to watch movies. Especially the movies that can improve our new vocabularies in English. Knowing her good and bad side, I feel fortunate to know her. She's one of my best friends, and I hope we can maintain this good relation forever. Amen…

The story the movie The Tourist is about an American tourist named Frank (Johnny Depp) who is on holiday to Italy because he wanted to heal the sense of a broken heart. Without Frank realized that Elise is actually an Interpol agent who was the task of capturing an international criminal, who was none other than Frank himself a former lover. Frank is originally designed holiday fun turned into a stressful vacation. The film "The Tourist"is a remake of French film "Anthony Zimmer" (2005).

My Favorite Book

 I love Fira Basuki's novels. Biru is my favorite. It is about a high school reunion. This was a very special event. Most of the alumni had not met for many years. They were looking forward to seeing each other.

  There are seven main characters distinct professions. Aris was the social worker and successful businessman. Anna, the social worker and wife of a rich man, had an affair with Aris. Candy was the famous model who lived abroad. Mario, the guide for outbound programs, had loved Candy since they were in high school. Pura  was the taxi driver who became a musician. Lindih and Kira were both married. They were looking forward to seeing each other.

  Unfortunately, the big event had to be called off after so much preparation. Aris, the one who planned the reunion, faced on obstacle, a really serious problem. He was  involved in corruption and was imprisoned. Many other alumni could not make it either. Candy died of drug poisoning the night before. She took the wrong medicine for her beauty treatment. Lindih and Kira found out that their husband was the same person. The alumni who came to the venue were shocked to hear the bad news. They did not expect the reunion to be cancelled. They did not expect to hear such shocking news about their friends.

Bad Weather VS Bad Flu

  Last Tuesday I was feeling ill in campus. I didn't take part in reading class. I had a high fever and was coughing. My mother worried when she was saw me. I told her that I was not feeling well. She felt my forehead and it was quite hot.
  Next morning, actually I must present about city on Listening/speaking class. But unfortunately, I had a bad throat and I coughed a lot. I lost my voice. My mother took my temperature. It was 390 C. So she took me to a doctor. She was very worried. She thought that I had Thypus or Malaria.
  The doctor examined me thoroughly. She took my temperature and looked down my throat. She said that my throat was red, I had a bad flu. She gave me an injection and some pills. she told me to take pills every four hours. She also told that I must take a rest. Me and my mom returned home with the medicine. I took the medicine and went to bed. After two days I felt better. I could go to campus again.

The benefits of mastering English language in Indonesia.

1.      Having (much) more friends. 
 If you can speak English. You can have many friends from the other country. Because
English is an International language. We can see from many social networks on the internet, many of them use English language. We rare see one site that use Indonesian language. So, when you master English, you can chat online, write letters and travel around the world – using one language!

2.   Accelerate your career advancement.
      Most international business is conducted in English. If you want a managerial positions in multinational companies, most likely you will be required to speak English. A number of prestigious companies now even set a minimum IELTS or TOEFL for potential job applicants. And then, English is not only important for business people. World of technology, aviation, tourism and diplomatic depend closely on the English language.

3. Open the window wider world
       Many books, magazines and newspapers are available in English. Many foreign language books are translated only into English. If you can read English, you will have the option of reading a much more diversity, as in the movies.
4. Conquer Internet
       You might think that many sites are translated into Indonesian. But in fact, 80% of electronic information is only available in English. While 20% of the others was not entirely dominated by Indonesian, but also non-English foreign language, like Chinese, Japanese, French and so forth. So imagine just how many percent of all information on the Internet are presented in the Indonesian language.
5. Being a scientist
         Researchers and scientists around the world communicate with each other in English. Scientific conference held in English and research results are also published in English language journals. Most scientists around the world to read in English.

Dearly my beloved friends, It is the last day of 2010. Before 2010 ends, I wanna thank each and  every one of you for the friendship, help , and for everything along the way.
Thanks to those who hated me, they made me a stronger person.
Thanks to those who loved me, they made my heart bigger.
Thanks to those who were worried about me, they let me know that they actually cared.
Thanks to those who left me, they made me realize that nothing last forever.
Thanks for those who forgive me, they made me learn from my mistake.
Just want to thank you for being there in my life whatever I might have meant to you.
And I want to be the first to wish you. Hope you’ll have a pleasant year in 2011, success in all you do and always under GOD’s guidance and love, may the journey of your life be fragrant with the opportunities, your days be bright with new hopes and your hearts be happy with love. Health is an expensive thing

   Health is an expensive thing. I think everyone believes it. Due to our healthy we can do many activities. However, when healthy some people often forget to maintain their stamina and health. 

   Just like me, about a month ago I felt sick due to the many activities and do not maintain nutritional intake of food. I too often drinking soft drinks and junk foods. My typhoid was relapse, until I couldn’t follow the lectures and my writing product couldn’t be posted on the blog. A few days ago, I was sick and had time to think "whether I could post my writing product or not this week?"  I was very bored because of bed rest all the time. And began to feel the importance of maintaining healthy while I have many tasks like now.

RISK

  Driving a car is an everyday activity, so most people don't think much about the risk. However sometimes terrible accidents occur, events that can injure or even kill people. Driving a car is perceived as safe (most of us don't worry when we get into a car). However, the actual risks of driving a car are high.

  Many people live in circumstances that create risk. However, different factors affect whether people worry about the risk. One factor is whether they see it as high risk versus low risk. Most people worry about risk only when there is a significant danger (when the risks become very high). Some risks are natural, such as bad weather or earthquakes. We cannot control these risks because we don't have the power to change the weather or stop earthquakes.

The star of the game

  On a fine afternoon after a heavy rain, my friends and I were ready to play basketball. When my friends and I  arrived at the court, the opponent team were already there. Seeing us approach the court, ignoring the soil around the court that was still wet from the rain. And suddenly… I slipped and fell on my butt in full view of every body. The pain was nothing compared to my embarrassment. I believe the whole court learned my name that day. What a way of becoming the star of the game!

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1

     Last Thursday,  Me and my friends went to the cinema to watch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1. Here is the following excerpts from the film, The movie lasts in 146 minutes long. The first section story filled by many unnecessary details in it, which makes the film feels like a movie with the actual short story but such a long stretch of time to make it longer.
     The story itself starts right where Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) ends, where Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), who is still in a state of mourning the death of his friend. At the same time his teacher Prof. Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon)and his friends is in custody to prevent the realization of the dream of the Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) and his gang who intends to kill Harry Potter. Powers Lord Voldemort himself had become a kind of terror with strength that not only covers those who know the world of magic, but also began to penetrate the world of Muggle (ordinary human), and even has taken many lives. Effect of Voldemort himself is now strong enough to be able to enter government positions in the wizarding world.
      There is only one way to be able to facilitate their efforts against Lord Voldemort in order to eliminate the antagonistic character by destroying five Horcrux (pieces of Voldemort's soul), who scattered in various parts of the region. The story of Harry's business together with two friends, Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), to find a Horcrux and destroy pieces that enliven this tale of The Deathly Hallows - Part 1. Of course, among the stories there are several sections devoted to exploring the personal side of each character that makes the story of Harry Potter’s adventure increasingly crowded, darker and more complicated than the previous series.
     The biggest problem of HP and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1 lies in the inability of the director, David Yates to keep the intensity of tension in the storyline of this movie. Maybe this is not going to be a big problem, if HP and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1 duration shorter than 146 minutes running time, but with the duration provided, Yates seems to be much to play with the emotions the audience by presenting the intensity of the unstable - at one point the audience will be confronted with scenes that can stimulate adrenaline and then exposed to various scenes with the intensity of the flat, portions tend to be laborious and time duration is longer. Beyond the problem of the intensity of the story that less can be well maintained, this film is a film that is very satisfying. As the film offers a variety of scenes 'high-voltage,' HP and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1 is really that amazing movie. Various scenes drama was also presented a positive impact on the development of each character that is in the way the story - particularly the three main characters of this film. Through this film, soul and thoughts of Harry, Hermione and Ron getting more deeply excavated, especially Ron Weasley in this series seems to get more specific portion to show the comic character.
     The duration of running 146 minutes does not mean that all characters can be accommodated properly. Actually it is unfortunate to see Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter - who have a role with a very interesting character - only displayed in the portion that is not sufficient. But it is very understandable that HP and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1 is a kind of appetizer for the second part will be described with a depiction of the final story is nice and magnificent.
